What A Beach Letdown

Today, we planned to go to the beach in the morning. After a relatively good Saturday, the weather forecast was for cloudy weather in the morning and potential rain in the afternoon. Temperature predictions were however a decent 20degC so we thought we would try our luck.

Prior to leaving home, we took a look out the window all around. Looked reasonably ok, with the sun peaking out of the cloud cover, so we risked the drive to the beach. Halfway there, the clouds started looming and we had scattered showers along the way...didn't look good.

When we finally reached after nearly 30mins, it was overcast and without the sun, the temperature was <20degC. Here we were, dressed in sleeveless tops and bermudas, everyone outside was wearing a jacket and long pants. After deliberating for a while, we decided to postpone the outing, no sense getting sick while trying to enjoy ourselves. Also, the weather forecast for the afternoon wasn't going to be any better. Oh well, we'll try again next week then, hopefully, the weather will be kinder.
