Germany Day 2

After a good rest and hearty breakfast in Pullman Cologne Hotel, we started our day with a quick stop at a small town called Bruhl. We visited a castle known as Schloss Ausgustusburg which is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage building. Nothing really impressive. =p

Our next stop is to Heidelberg, a scenic town along the River Neckar with mountains as the background. It was indeed a very beautiful medieval town. We stayed up in the mountains in Hotel Molkenkur and had a great view in our room again! =)

We spent the rest of the afternoon taking the furnicular railways down to the castle Schloss Heidelberg, then down further to the market square (Kornmarket), walked along the old bridge across the River Neckar and finally back up to the top of mountains at Konigstuhl for a bird's eye view of the area. The sight was really breathtaking!
