怕怕, 谢谢 and Please

Recently she has been saying 怕怕 alot and patting her chest when she says it. =) Sometimes when she's really scared of something like noises from outside, upstairs etc but most of the time, she said it for no apparent reason! For example, she'll say 怕怕 when I gave her a piece of apple, a new food to try, sometimes, even when I tell her to pick a book from her bookshelf, she'll say 怕怕. It's really quite exasperating when she does that. It's a bit like crying wolf cos you know she's not really scared most of the time. Hope she's just revising the phrase and not really meaning it everytime she said it.

Another word she picked up last weekend was "please". We have been teaching her to say "please" on and off for the longest time and she surprised us last weekend. She's asking for her biscuits and as usual we asked her to say "please" and didn't expect an answer but she did! We were both having lunch at that time and we burst out laughing cos we were so surprised. We asked her to repeat again and she did! So instead of one biscuit, she got 2! Hahaha, her reward mah!

Another surprise again. =) From the title of this post, you can guess that she said 谢谢. We were teaching her to knock knock on the door and come into the room after we said "come in". So Mummy thought we'll teach her to say 谢谢 after she entered the room, to thank us for letting her into the room. First time we ask her, she replied 谢谢! Didn't expect it and totally surprised us again. Heheh....we are really happy on her speech development and glad that our worries on this area is more or less over! Now we wish she won't learn to 顶觜. =p
