With a toddler in tow, we could no longer just pack up and go. Our travel schedule now revolves around Trisha's feeding and sleeping schedule. Also, with her stroller to lug around, travelling by public transport is also quite a hassle.
Singaporeans always complain about how expensive it is to own a car in Sg, now that we're in Europe, we were definitely going to get a car. Even for day-to-day activities, it will allow Mummy PP to get out more and we can sign-up for toddler play classes which were located in areas not easily accessible by public transport.
Our landlord, Ronald, was looking to change his car and made us a great offer. €7500 for a 9 yr old Volvo S80. It was a good price but we didn't know the condition of the car, so Daddy XM went for a ride and car viewing this evening. Testdrive was confined to the carpark for now as he wasn't familiar with the roads or the car yet (it's a manual left-hand-drive car).
In short, car was well-maintained, great leather interior and full service history with the Volvo agent in Amstelveen. As we didn't need the car immediately, we'll be taking over the car in early Feb. Finally, mobility!!
