Well and Active Again

Little Trisha is WELL AND ACTIVE AGAIN!

She has recovered since last Saturday and there's no more fever and no more phlegm in her lungs. Her hoarse voice has since gone and she now screams with a shrill voice once again....hhm....wonder if that's a good thing or not....hahah....=)

We are so HAPPY that our little baby is ok again and seeing her sick really gave us heartache. However, she's a good girl when she's sick because she didn't really cry or fuss alot. In fact, if she doesn't cry (you would have noticed her hoarse voice), you won't know she's ill cos she's still as active and smiley as always! Good girl, Trisha! =)

Now that she has recovered, she seems to have a better appetite in milk and in solid foods. =) Just a week or 2 before she got sick, she has problem finishing her milk. It will take her 2 to 3 times to complete her milk feed. One of us would have to dance, prance, turn in circles, play clown, sing, talk, scold her to distract her in order to make her drink her milk....sigh....Sometimes, after being a clown, she doesn't even finish the milk and will waste 50-60ml of precious breast milk. =(

This is only the milk feed. Feeding her solid food is not easy too. She will push the food out with her tongue immediately after we take the spoon out of her mouth. She will be so messy at the end of the feed and the food is left wasted as she doesn't finish it.

But now.....things are better. =)))

After her illness, somehow, she drinks her milk better and eats her solids (cereal, porridge, puree) better. Maybe she finally realised how much Mummy loves her and lovingly prepared all those yummilicious food for her and loves Mummy back for her hard work by being a good girl, eating her food properly. =)

Now, she still needs us to cajole her, distract her when she drinks milk but at least she finishes the milk most of the time. As for solid food.....YEAH!!! She has lost that "tongue push out food" reflex and takes all the cereal and porridge with gutso! Sometimes even lunging forward to grab the spoon! Hehehe. She really makes Mummy a very happy Mummy now. =)

So now is the time to let her try more kinds of food and Mummy is all ready for it. Time to go supermarket shopping this weekend! =)
