Due to the late setting sun, she has become so active just before bedtime and during bedtime. As mentioned in an earlier post, if Daddy's sleeping with her, she'll want to chit chat with him, but after a while (like 30mins), she's still babbling, singing, talking non stop. So Daddy got to say "你不睡觉,爸爸打屁股了!" to threaten her to calm down and stop moving about. You know what she said?
Trisha: Nooo! My 屁股! My 屁股! (She meant it's her butt and we can't beat her butt!)
Sigh....no one can touch HER things/body parts. =p
Another "don't know whether to vomit blood" or "awww, so sweet/funny" moment happens often during bedtime. She's back to needing us to sleep near to her and hold her hands while she drifts off to dreamland. But we didn't want that to become a habit so we purposely slept further from her on our bed and didn't want to hold her hands but she insisted. This is what she said.
Trisha: Mummy, Mummy, sleep bit bit, sleep bit bit (meaning to tell Mummy to sleep only a bit away from her instead of far, far from her)
Trisha: Mummy, hold hands, HOLD HANDS!
Mummy: No, Trisha, there's no need to hold hands to sleep.
Trisha: Mummy hold hands...please, thank you Mummy, welcome Mummy, I love you Mummy.
Mummy: ...... (Don't know whether to laugh or cry)
At least she seems to have learned her manners on how to say please, thank you and you're welcome. =)
And she can be such a tyrant too!
Instance #1
Mummy (or Daddy): Trisha, lie down and sleep now.
Trisha: Mummy (or Daddy), take off spectacles, off spectacles (If we are slow in doing so, she'll grab it off our faces.)
Instance #2
If we sleep backfacing her, this will be what we get.
Trisha: Mummy, Mummy. Turnaround. Turnaround.
This will get louder and louder until we do turn around to face her.
Really don't know what to do with her now. Hopefully things will be better when we go back to Singapore where there's no such problem of a late setting sun!
