Settling In

3rd day in The Netherlands!

We are all settling in nicely. I'm adapting very well to the cold...better than Mummy PP! =p

Let me do a recap on our settling in over the last few days. =)

19th Nov - Trisha's first ride on a plane!

Daddy XM's company bought a child seat for me on Business Class too..hehehe...so we got Por Por over to sit with Mummy PP for the 13 hours flight. Service on SQ is really good. =) Mummy PP also managed to convince the staff at the Business Class lounge to allow Gong Gong and Por Por to come into the lounge and relax before boarding the plane. =) Feel shiok cos it's enjoyment of privileges not at our cost...kekekke...

Farewell + Send off at Changi Airport

I'm such a dear during the flight cos I slept through most of the time which allowed Mummy PP to catch 2 movies (881 and Pirates of the Caribbean) and had some shuteye too. However, the boy across the aisle cried a bit and she didn't get much sleep though.

20th Nov - Amsterdam, here I am!

After a long 13 hours flight, we finally reached Amsterdam...at an ungodly hour of 630am. It was still dark and drizzling and COLD! Brrrr.....

Daddy XM came to fetch us back to our new home! (no photos yet...heheh...will upload in another entry)

We all need to rest and get our biological clocks to the new time zone, hence didn't do much but rest at home. We only went out for lunch and did some shopping in the supermarket Albert Heijn in the evening.

Not everything went smoothly though....the water heater is not working! So no hot water for bathing. Luckily the kitchen heater is separate from the bathroom heater so we still can have some hot water to wipe ourselves clean. Phew!

21 Nov - Nintendo Wii Launch!

Ok, nothing much happened today. We rested some more, went grocery shopping again and Por Por and Mummy PP cook up a storm?...Nah...we just managed to cook as the kitchen comes pretty much fully furnished. It was quite fun shopping for groceries in a totally new place with no idea what the things are as we can't understand Dutch. Somehow we managed to guess and learned quite a bit of Dutch.

Hopefully I'm right in deciphering these following words...kekeke..

Rode - Red
Witte - White
Driven - grapes
Kipfillet - Chicken fillet
Zalm - Salmon

In the evening after dinner, Daddy XM set up the Nintendo Wii (thanks to his colleagues for giving him such a wonderful farewell gift) and we all had a game of bowling, tennis and golf! It was really a fun way to end the night! =)

22 Nov - More shopping!

Today, we went shopping, not grocery shopping again lah. It's window shopping at Binnenhof and checking out the prices! Woah!! Damn expensive, man! But we managed to find a value store which sells household stuff, food, etc at a lower price than supermarket! Yeah! =)

We also went to this department store HEMA and found some really cheap and nice kids clothes! Mummy PP is so excited cos she is thinking of doing some online business selling kids clothes and she can buy these and sell them! It's just a thought for now but she's really excited! Hope this materialises so that she can earn some pocket money and buy me more stuff!

By the way, the weather is not as dreary as Mummy PP thought. Today, the sun came out and it's so nice!
